The Parent Advisory Board is a group of current VGP parents who help determine school policy, with such decisions as approving the annual budget and tuition rates. They oversee maintenance of facilities and plan school events, such as the Family Fun Night and Spaghetti Supper.  A large portion of their efforts also goes to fundraising, such as our annual raffle and online auction, as well as our fall fundraiser, Cards for a Cause.  While many schools don’t need to fundraise, Village Green is a non-profit preschool.  While our tuition rates cover our facility and staff salaries, our fundraising efforts cover materials, enrichment programs, fun family activities, and our annual scholarship, which is awarded to a deserving VGP alum graduating high school.

All parents are invited to join the board as a great way to help support VGP through volunteering, and to connect with other parents. It is also a great way to provide input and give parent feedback.  Ideas, comments, and suggestions are always welcome! The group meets once a month (typically the third Thursday of the month) to help plan school events, fundraisers and discuss school topics. Each member signs up for one of the open positions on the Board for the school year.  Positions include chair and co-chair duties and events including fundraisers, Spooky Walk, Auction/Raffle, and more.
